Kim Scott

If you were to ask Kim about her journey with Christ, she would tell you, Vacation Bible School helped her to feel like she was welcome in the body of Christ. She did not grow up in a Christian home, so she has a soft place in her heart for children who are raised without the knowledge of how much Christ loves and treasures them and wants them to have a hope for their future. Kim has served as a VBS teacher and coordinator at Clay Road Baptist Church in Houston, where she and her husband, Thad, have been members for over 20 years. The Lord has blessed them with five sons, three daughters-in-law and two precious grandchildren during their 34 year marriage. God has mercifully allowed Kim to expand her efforts to reach young people, preschool to tenth grade, with a weekly apartment ministry with Everlasting Love Ministries in NW Houston. She and Thad are also involved with Hope for Youth; an outreach that reaches out to junior high and high school, inner city students, from all over the Houston area. Three mission trips to Belize and one trip to the beautiful Casa de Esperanza in La Union, Honduras, has continued to fill Kim’s heart with a desire to make a difference in the lives of children. She finds much joy in reaching out to share the beautiful gospel message of hope and salvation in Christ and helping teach others how to know and serve him.
